Prey System

Prey Creatures

Prey Widget

Once players reach the mainland, they can access the "Prey System" by either right-clicking their character and selecting it from the context menu, pressing the hotkey combination Ctrl + Y, or by using the Prey widget Prey Button . This will open the Prey interface, where players can manage their prey slots.

  • Free Account users start with one unlocked slot.
  • Premium Account users have access to two unlocked prey slots.
  • The third prey slot, known as the Permanent Prey Slot, can be purchased through the in-game store.

Free account players also have the option to purchase two additional permanent prey slots.

Creatures You Can Choose

In each of your prey slots, you will be presented with a selection of 9 creatures.

(These creatures are randomly selected from a large pool, ensuring a mix of low, mid, and high-level monsters.)

Creature Selection Example

You cannot select the same creature in multiple prey slots. So, you cannot stack bonuses on the same creature. If none of the creatures suit your needs, you have a few options:

  • Wait 20 hours for a free list refresh for each prey slot.
  • Purchase an extra reroll using gold, with the price adjusted by your level.
  • The cost is 150 gold per level.

Once you select your creature and bonus, a 2-hour hunting period begins. This applies to any creature you kill, not just the one from the prey slot. After 2 hours, your prey selection resets.

Bonus Rewards

When you choose a creature, you will receive a corresponding bonus. The available bonuses are:

  • Increased damage to the creature (7% - 25%, increments of 2%)
  • Reduced damage taken from the creature (12% - 30%, increments of 2%)
  • Bonus experience (13% - 40%, increments of 3%)
  • Enhanced loot (13% - 40%, increments of 3%)

If you don’t like your bonus, you can:

  • Reroll the list to choose a different creature.
  • Use a Prey Wildcard (available in the store for 10 Tibia Coins, or a pack of 5 for 50 Tibia Coins).
  • Stick with your bonus and hunt the creature for 2 hours, hoping for better luck next time.

Each bonus has 10 stages. Using a Prey Wildcard will either boost your current bonus stage or change the bonus type. If you’ve maxed out the bonus stage, the wildcard will guarantee a bonus type change.

When taking damage, defensive prey bonuses tick down. You can preserve these by using an Energy Ring or activating Magic Shield.

For the loot bonus: A 15% loot bonus means there’s a 15% chance that the monster will drop additional loot, similar to slaying two monsters at once.

Reward Bonuses

Once you choose a creature, you instantly receive a bonus associated with it.

These bonuses include:

  • Player damage increase: 7% to 25% (in 2% increments)
  • Creature damage reduction: 12% to 30% (in 2% increments)
  • Extra experience gain: 13% to 40% (in 3% increments)
  • Loot enhancement: 13% to 40% (in 3% increments)

If you're not satisfied with the bonus, you can choose one of the following options:

  • Use a List Reroll to refresh the creatures and pick another one.
  • Use a Prey Wildcard (Available in the Store for 10 Tibia Coins, or as a pack of 5 for 50 Tibia Coins. You can also receive 3 Wildcards per week as part of the Daily Reward System.)
  • Hunt the creature with the current bonus for 2 hours and try your luck next time.

Each bonus progresses through 10 stages, and a wildcard will either upgrade the current stage or switch the bonus type. If your bonus is already at stage 10, the type is guaranteed to change with a wildcard.

Defense bonuses decrease as you take damage from any enemy. To prevent this, use an Energy Ring or activate Magic Shield (or consume a Magic Shield Potion) to take damage without affecting your bonus.

The loot bonus functions as follows: If you have a 15% loot bonus, there's a 15% chance that an additional set of loot will be generated, effectively making it seem as though you've looted two monsters instead of one.
